Outdoor classroom and wellbeing space - Christ Church Primary

A new space has been opened up with the demise of an outbuilding. It has left a concrete footprint and a fantastic  opportunity to create the outdoor classroom space the school so desires.

This is part of a larger project that includes the recently planted orchard, a space for storytelling and possible fire pit, and a renovated pond area but this space will be the heart of it all. A multi functional area with raised beds dividing the space into smaller rooms, and equipped with multiple posts that will support sails, giving the children much needed shade.

This space can be used for teaching, for quiet time at breaks and for growing. In time it could also be used for outdoor cookery classes.
