SEN Garden - Holy Trinity Primary

This has always been a confusing area: a large open deck, blasted by the sun in summer and with an undefined purpose. The creation of a new SEN classroom in the adjacent building meant it was the perfect time to turn the space into a multi purpose SEN garden with beds for growing as well as having sensory plants.

A large multi-stem tree, gifted from an RHS show garden, gives instant shade and in time, the raised planters and posts will have sails to provide even more cover. The big circular raised planters came from our original show garden as did the lovely bench that now creates a cosy area for sitting and chatting. At the back of the garden a causeway adds interest and an opportunity for children to climb and test their cognitive skills.
